Tech giant Chinese company Xiaomi has launched its Affordable Redmi 9i smartphone in India. This is fourth smartphone in the series after Redmi 9, Redmi 9A and Redmi 9 Prime. Key Specifications of Redmi 9i include Dot drop display, Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G25 chipset, Single Rear Camera and large battery. It is worth noting that the specifications of Redmi 9i look exactly like those of Redmi 9A, the only difference being the RAM and Storage Variants. In the Indian market, Redmi 9i comes with two models based on Storage and RAM. This handset is given with three colour options.
Redmi 9i Specifications and Features
Dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi 9i works on MIUI 12 based on Android 10. It has a 6.53-inch HD+ (720*1,600 pixel) LCD dot drop display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The Redmi 9i uses the Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G25 processor, which is equipped with 4GB RAM.
In terms of photo and video, the Redmi 9i has single 13-mp rear camera with F/2.2 aperture. The front has a 5-mp camera for selfie, which is with F/2.2 aperture. This front facing camera is housed inside the water-drop notch style. Relatively thick bezels are seen all around the handset.
In storage, the Redmi 9i includes support for 64GB and 128GB of inbuilt storage. Which can be increased (up to 512GB) via Micro-SD card. The 5,000mAh battery has been provided in the Redmi 9i which also supports 10W standard charging. Xiaomi claims that it uses In-Built Space Battery (ELB) technology, due to which it works without any trouble for three years. Apart from this, the phone comes with all necessary sensors proximity, colour temperature, magnetometer, barometer, ambient light, accelerometer etc.
Connectivity options of Redmi 9i include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, Glonass, FM Radio, 4G, VoLTE, Micro-USB port and 3.5mm headphone jack. This phone comes with AI Face Unlock and also has P2i Coating which protects the phone from water splashes. However, the Fingerprint Sensor has not been provided on the back of the phone. In dimensions, the Redmi 9i measures 164.9*77.07*9mm and weighs 194 grams.

The price of 4GB RAM and 64GB Storage Variants of Redmi 9i in India starts at Rs 8,299. While its Top-End variant 4GB RAM and 128GB Storage Model has been priced at Rs 9,299 in India. This smartphone comes with three colour options like Nature Green, Sea Blue and Midnight Black. Apart from this, the first sale of this handset will be held on September 18 at 12 noon at Flipkart, Mi.com and Mi Home Stores. It will be made available in Offline Retail Partner Stores.
