The Redmi 9 Prime smartphone has made an entry in India as the latest affordable mid-range segment of tech giant Xiaomi. The specification of the new smartphone is exactly like to Redmi 9 smartphone, which has launched in Spain in June. Redmi 9 Prime comes with water-drop notch display and MediaTek Helio G80 processor. This phone is equipped with a quad rear camera setup, including an ultra-wide-angle shooter. Key specification include the Redmi 9 Prime rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, face-unlock, 18W fast Charging support and infrared blaster (IR). This phone will be available for purchase in four colour options.

Dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi 9 Prime phone will run on Android 10 based MIUI 11. It also has Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection with 6.53-inch Full HD+ IPS display. The Redmi 9 Prime smartphone is equipped with Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G80 processor, with 4GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB UFS 2.1 Storage. The phone has a quad rear camera setup, which features a 13-mp primary camera, 8-mp ultra-wide-angle lens that provides field of view (FoV) up to 118°. Apart from this, the phone also includes a 5-mp macro shooter and a 2-mp depth sensor. Also, the phone has an 8-mp camera for selfie.
Xiaomi has given storage up to 128GB in this phone, in which support up to 512GB will be available through micro SD card. Connectivity options include the 4G VoLTE, WI-FI 802.11ac, Bluetooth version 5.0, GPS/A-GPS, IR Blaster and a USB Type-C port etc. The Redmi 9 Prime phone also includes rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, face-unlock and P2i splash proof. Apart from this, the phone comes with all necessary sensors proximity, colour temperature, magnetometer, barometer, ambient light, accelerometer etc.
Apart from this, 5,020mAh battery capacity has been given in the Redmi 9 Prime phone, which has 18W fast charging support. The company provides a 10W charger inside the box. To buy the new 18W fast charger one has to go to mi.com or e-commerce platforms. The dimensions are 163.32*77.01*9.1mm, with a weight of 198 gram.
Redmi 9 Prime Price in India, Availability Details
The Base 64GB Storage variant of the Redmi 9 Prime smartphone has been priced at Rs 9,999 in India. While its 128GB variant has been priced at Rs 11,999. Four colour options in both variant of the phone will be available in Space Blue, Mint Green, Matte Black and Sunrise Flare. The sale of Redmi 9 Prime will start in India on 6 August through Amazon, which will be part of Amazon's Prime Day 2020 Sale. Apart from this, it will soon be made available through mi.com, Mi Home Stores and Xiaomi's Retail Partner.
Remind that the Redmi 9 initial price in Spain was 149 EURO (about Rs 13,200), which is the price of its 3GB+32GB Storage option. Its 4GB+64GB Storage was priced at 179 EURO (about Rs 15,800). The 3GB+32GB variant of this phone has not been brought to India.
