Tech giant Xiaomi has launched its Affordable smartphone Redmi 9A in India. Redmi 9A is another addition to the series that includes Redmi 9 and Redmi 9 Prime. Redmi 9A comes with single rear camera and single front facing camera. This handset comes at an entry level price point and has features such as large battery capacity, expandable storage and octa-core processor. The phone comes with three colour options. Redmi 9A competes in the Indian market with smartphones such as Techno Spark Go 2020, Gionee Max and Realme C3.

Redmi 9A Specifications and Features
Dual-SIM (Nano) Redmi 9A works on MIUI 12 based on Android 10. It has a 6.53-inch HD+ (720*1,600 pixel) LCD dot drop display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. The Redmi 9A uses the Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G25 processor, which is equipped with 2GB and 3GB RAM.
In terms of photo and video, the Redmi 9A has single 13-mp rear camera with F/2.2 aperture. The front has a 5-mp camera for selfie, which is with F/2.2 aperture. This front facing camera is housed inside the water-drop notch style. Relatively thick bezels are seen all around the handset.
In storage, the Redmi 9A includes support for 32GB of inbuilt storage. Which can be increased (up to 512GB) via Micro-SD card. The 5,000mAh battery has been provided in the Redmi 9A which also supports 10W standard charging. Xiaomi claims that it uses In-Built Space Battery (ELB) technology, due to which it works without any trouble for three years. Apart from this, the phone comes with all necessary sensors proximity, colour temperature, magnetometer, barometer, ambient light, accelerometer etc.
Connectivity options of Redmi 9A include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, FM Radio, 4G, VoLTE, Micro-USB port and 3.5mm headphone jack. This phone comes with AI Face Unlock and also has P2i Coating which protects the phone from water splashes. However, like the previous year's model in the phone it does not have a Fingerprint Sensor in the rear. In dimensions, the Redmi 9A measures 164.9*77.07*9mm and weighs 194 grams.
Redmi 9A Price in India and Availability Details
The price of 2GB RAM and 32GB Storage Variants of Redmi 9A is priced at Rs 6,799 in India. Its high 3GB and 32GB Storage Model have been priced at Rs 7,499 in India. Redmi 9A comes with a three colour options like Midnight Black, Nature Green and Sea Blue. The sale of this phone will be conducted through Mi.com, Mi Home and Amazon on September 4 at 12 noon. It will also be made available at Offline Retail Partner Stores soon.
Redmi 9A was originally introduced in Malaysia for 2GB+32GB Storage Variants in the same model for around Rs 6,300.
