Xiaomi Launches Redmi 9 With 5,000mAh Battery in India: Budget Smartphone

Tech giant Chinese company Xiaomi has launched Redmi 9 in India in its Budget segment. Just a few days before launching the this new smartphone, Xiaomi launched the Redmi 9 Prime in the market. The smartphone is equipped with water-drop style notch and two rear cameras. In Redmi 9, the company has provided 5,000mAh battery capacity, which also supports fast charging. Apart from this, the new smartphone is being considered as an upgrade of Redmi 8 introduced in the market last year. The main thing is that the Redmi 9 handset launched in India is also considered to be the revange incarnation of Redmi 9C launched in Malaysia in June.

Redmi 9 Specifications and Feature

Dual-SIM Redmi 9 works on MIUI 12 based on Android 10. Octa-Core MediaTek Helio G35 processor has been used in it. The smartphone comes with a 6.53-inch HD+ (720*1,600 pixels) dot view display, a 20:9 aspect ratio LCD display. The only option in this phone is 4GB RAM.

Dual rear camera setup has been given on the rear of Redmi 9 for photos and videos. A 13-mp camera has been used in the primary sensor. Also the 2-mp depth sensor is part of this setup. In this case, the phone is different from Redmi 9C, as it is equipped with three cameras. The front has a 5-mp camera for selfie.

Connectivity options of Redmi 9 include Bluetooth 5.0, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS, A-GPS, Micro-USB port and 3.5mm headphone jack. Xiaomi has been given 64GB and 128GB options in inbuilt storage. The phone also includes support for up to 512GB Micro-SD card to increase storage. The Redmi 9 comes with a Fingerprint sensor and P2i Splash Proof on the back.

Apart from this, 5,000mAh battery capacity has been provided in Redmi 9 which supports 10W fast charging. In terms of dimensions, Redmi 9 has a size of 164.9*77.07*9.0mm and weighs 196 grams.

Redmi 9 Price in India and Availability Details

The price of Redmi 9 starts at Rs 8,999 in the Indian market. This price has been given of 4GB+64GB storage variant. The high 4GB+128GB storage variant of the phone has been priced at Rs 9,999 in India. Redmi 9 comes with a three colour options like Carbon Black, Sky Blue and Sporty Orange. In terms of Availability, the sale of Redmi 9 will be held on August 31 at 12 noon on Amazon India. Apart from this, the phone will soon be available for purchase in Mi.com, Mi Home Stores and Offline Retail Sources.

The main thing is that Xiaomi launched the Global variant of Redmi 9 in Spain in June. But its Specification looks completely different from the model launched in India.
